God has given us such a wonderful capacity to anticipate, to look forward to what is to come, to experience the anticipation that comes with faith.

It is true that anticipation can be a negative experience when we yield to various fears and anxieties. Yet, anticipation can also be an amazingly positive experience.

Our Lord invites us to shift our anticipation to what God is doing and to find peace. Do not be anxious about anything ;but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians4:6-7
