Episode 008 Balancing Family and the Outdoors with Taren Weigandt - a podcast by Emory R. Wanger

What happens when we love the outdoors, but then a baby comes along?  Does everything end until they're grown, or is there a way to continue having adventures in the wild while simultaneously raise a family?  What changes when this happens and how do you even find a balance between the love of your outdoors and the love of your family?

Taren Weigandt of www.binosinthediaperbag.com joins me to talk about how to stay active in the outdoors with a family.  Taren is a blogger, hunter, mother of 3 (including twin boys), and a wife.  She was raised in a hunting family and has always lead an active lifestyle even while raising a family.  If you're struggling to get outside because you have a family or you're thinking of starting a family and are curious about what happens to your adventures after that first baby comes along, you're going to want to give this one a listen.

Taren and her husband have found a way to balance two major loves - family and the outdoors and I brought her on to find out how they do it.  What changes when I have a family of my own?  Do all my outings come to a close?  After talking with Taren and peppering her with questions, I personally came away with some great tools to take forward when I start my own family.

Enjoy this episode and if you have any questions or comments about the content, please don't hesitate to reach out.  I'd love to hear your thoughts!
