A five-time leading goal-kicker for the Cats, Ronnie Burns was as mercurial as he was magical. Recruited to Kardinia Park as the 49th pick in the 1995 AFL draft he immediately filled the void left by Gary Ablett Senior as Geelong’s excitement machine. Possessed of lightning speed, sharp reflexes and a capacity to nail goals from seemingly impossible angles, Ronnie booted 239 majors from his 134 games in the hoops before venturing to Adelaide for two further seasons. A WAFL premiership player for West Perth in 1995, he was also a three-time state-of-origin representative for the Allies. Join Anthony Petkovic, Mark Brunger, Megan Holz, Gus Smarrini and Wes Cusworth as they take a trip down memory lane with Ronnie Burns.
