Gareth Andrews joined the Cats from Geelong College, winning the goal-kicking in his first senior season in 1965. With the return from injury of Doug Wade, Gareth was moved to centre half-forward, while also spending time on the ball and in the backline across the course of his 136-game career.

Crossing to Richmond in 1974, Gareth played 31 games for the Tigers and was a member of their 1974 premiership side.

During his post-football career, Gareth has demonstrated as much versatility as in his playing days, working in the media, football administration, sales and marketing, real estate, along with the health and fitness industry.

In 2011 he established Life Again, a company aiming to inspire and connect men during times of change.

Notably, he served as Vice President of the Geelong Football Club for a decade and a half, enjoying the fruits of his labour with the 2007, 2009 and 2011 premierships.
