I am so excited to be talking about today's topic – sales tax on digital products – although I'm most excited for my guest to take the lead because, frankly, sales tax compliance scares me. As a former English teacher, I am scared to death of bookkeeping, sales tax compliance for teachers pay teachers, and sales tax on digital products in general. Nonetheless, I know one thing to be true: sales tax compliance is very important. Plus, sales tax compliance is the number one question that we're asked in our communities. We used to run away from sales tax on digital product questions. Today, we're no longer running. Instead, we’re running the question to my guest, Katherine Tucker.

Your guide to sales tax on digital products  

My guest today, Katherine P. Tucker, CPA, is a spunky accountant who helps TpT sellers with two important pieces of their business: bookkeeping and sales tax. So what is tax compliance? Well, as Katherine explains it, sales tax compliance is the first step to understanding the financial state of your CEO Teacher® business. She also believes that teachers should know how to pay teachers pay teachers sales tax and sales tax on digital products. Since April 2021 Katherine has been working with TpT sellers and is the creator of the online, self-paced course, “The Teacherpreneur’s Sales Tax Roadmap.” She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Accounting.
