012: The New "Ideal" Worker - a podcast by Hannah Genton

The current climate of corporate America is one of innovation and adaptation. Executives have been forced to find new ways to run their businesses. It’s hard to meet someone who hasn’t experienced job cuts in one way or another.

Given the current economy, us covering the topic of the ideal worker could not be more timely. The topic was first defined decades ago in what was then the ‘modern office’ workplace. The ideal worker was the employee who showed up every day and did their best work no matter what. If their child was sick, their house was flooded, or anything else occurred, they still didn’t miss work.

Obviously, the ideal worker has changed. Everyone is wondering what the modern ideal worker is and how they can become one themselves.

Today, my co-founder, Noam, and I address this concept. We discuss what today’s ideal worker looks like and how that affects the economy.

In this episode, you will hear:

  • What the ideal worker in 2021 looks like.
  • How the concept of the ideal worker has shifted.
  • Why the ideal worker is adaptive.
  • Why the ideal worker is inclusive.
  • Why the ideal worker is independent.
  • The importance of nurturing a collaborative environment in the workplace.
  • How technology drives efficiency.
  • How to adapt the distributed work model to your company’s specific needs.
  • Why there may not be one ideal worker.
