Mental Health and Illness - a podcast by Jacob and Matt

This is one we've been wanting to do for a long time. We say it in the podcast, but we're certainly not experts in this field (like we're experts in any other field), all we are trying to relate is our experiences with our own mental health and illnesses, and advice on what has worked for us. Everyone's experience is different - hopefully people in going through what we have and are going through learn a little something.

You are not alone - get in contact with someone, a loved one, a professional or an organisation if you feel concerned about your mental health!

In Australia, we found Beyond Blue (https://www.beyondblue.org.au/index.html) and RUOK (https://www.ruok.org.au) really helpful for education, and recognising symptoms - both have ways to get in contact with doctors, professionals and helplines too.

In America, the best thing we found was the Anxiety and Depression Association of America (https://adaa.org/?fbclid=IwAR30dKGrWjeiLwhIjD0ZivcCDXP6o8eT-qQU4wxraa8RCK5KrPi3MDSDBVI), but there are helplines and local organisations too!

And now for a joke. Uhhh...
