This episode is a summary of the narrative found in Exodus Chapters 35 through 40. These chapters recount the building of the Tabernacle, the Ark of the Covenant, and all the fixtures and furniture found within the wall of the courtyard. We are told how the Israelites built everything to God’s exacting specifications. We also hear of the people donating the gold, silver, bronze, linen, leather, and everything else. So much so that Moses had to put a stop to it. Finally, Moses anoints and consecrates all of the items, as well as Aaron and the other priests. Next week, I’ll cover the history of the writing of the Book of Exodus.
