In this episode, I cover the last couple of rulers from both the Hyksos and the Egyptian 17th Dynasties. Knowledge of the life and times of both groups are necessary to understand the New Kingdom. I then get started on the first ruler of the New Kingdom, Amenhotep the 1st, who died around the time that it’s believed Moses was exiled to Midian.
