The Saturday afternoon session of the 187th General Conference featured the sustaining of officers in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and the announcement of updated LDS Church statistics. Mormons heard from Elder Robert D. Hales of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles on becoming a disciple of the Lord, Jesus Christ. Elder Jeffrey R. Holland of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles used a metaphor involving choirs to talk about the songs, sung and unsung, that shape your life. Elder Gary B. Sabin of the Quorum of the Seventy advised Mormons to"stand up inside and be all in." Elder Valeri V. Cordón of the Seventy discussed the language of the gospel. Elder Neil L. Andersen of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles spoke on overcoming the world, and Elder M. Russell Ballard of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles concluded the session with a talk about goal-setting called"Return and Receive."
