Ep. 17 - I learned how to leave past trauma behind, and break glass ceilings - a podcast by Courtney Ball

As a first-generation college grad, masters degree holder and corporate executive, I have to navigated unchartered territory many times. Honestly, it has been scary and challenging. On this episode, I talk about the tough decisions I've had to make to survive on my own, living New York City. 

In my 20's, I carried a lot of burdens from my past, growing up in a poor neighborhood, losing my mom at 18, being fired unexpectedly. These experiences turned into insecurity. Insecurity blocked me from even imagining I could make $100k+. 

Then, I had a life-changing moment where God spoke to me. God told me that I deserve better. On that day, I received the vision and started working on myself. I improved my physical and emotional health. Then, everything started falling into place in my career. I started making closer to $200k in my corporate career and received a new job title.

The trauma you've endured is NOTHING to be ashamed of, Queen. Instead of holding it all in, surround yourself with a community of compassionate people that will pour into you.
