— A systematic review and meta-analysis of 10 studies including over 1300 COVID-19 patients found that olfactory and gustatory dysfunction were present in 53% and 44% of patients, respectively.


— Analysis of the effect of N95 reuse decontamination processes on filtration efficiency found that steam, 75C heat, and ultraviolet germicidal treatments had little effect on filtration efficacy; whereas, ethanol submersion and chlorine spray caused significant reductions in filtration.


— One study of 198 COVID-19 patients found a high risk of venous thromboembolisms with occurrence in 59% of the 75 ICU patients within the first 21 days.
