Rather stay at home instead of contracting Covid19 says one make up artist - a podcast by VOW FM 88.1

While there have been calls by hairdressers and other workers in the beauty industry for government to allow them to return to work during lockdown level 3, one make-up artists Elinah Mangena says she would rather wait until it is safe to return to work than put her life that of he client at risk of catching the coronavirus. Mangena was speaking to Siphosihe Mbuli on The Covid Report looking at how the pandemic has affected the beautify industry. Mangena says she is confident that once restrictions are lifted and weddings and events start, the industry will pick up.

On the 22nd of June, the Cape Town High Court is set to hear an application against the ban on the hairdressing and personal care industry under Level 3 of the lockdown.
