Getting together on time-outs is a great way to show chemistry & improve the dynamics of the crew. Be mindful when getting together to not judge previous plays or dwell on perceived mistakes. Next play mentality. Eliminating the unnecessary signals only simplifies things for us and can help us stay out of "trouble". Don't anticipate a foul when and where the contact might take place. This tip was in response to a trapping play in the corner with multiple defenders but can be applied across all lines.⁣

We also cover the importance of not penalizing the defense on offensive-initiated contact plays. Be ready to help out on rebounding plays in trail, especially on jump shots which can create long rebounds and extended coverage. Surprise comment from a coach during postgame, stay even-keeled and don't let positive affirmation gas you up nor let criticism bring you down.⁣
