I was reminded this week again of the power of meditation, or quietness and stillness. Meditation is the practice of being quiet and still in your mind. One of the greatest hindrances to finding your authentic life is all the voices that are continually saying, this is the way, walk in it, or this is what you must think, or how you must feel, or what you must believe. Join me in making a practice of sitting still and quite daily. Let’s turn off our TV’s, phones, computers, and every other form of information that keeps shouting opinions of what you must do and just be still.  Though thoughts may come and go, allow them to do so without struggle or strain, observe them, acknowledge them, but have the goal of quietness and stillness of the mind so that you might hear the voice inside you saying here is the way, walk in it.
