This week, in part 1 of a 2-part interview, Darren talks with violinist extraordinare Melissa Reiner. Melissa played on songs heard in the David Lee Roth's "No Holds Bar-B-Que" film, as well as appearing on-camera. There's some great stories about working with Dave, his work ethic, the other musicians she played with on the project, being on the film set, and how she almost got fired from the gig and much more!

At the top, Darren and Steve ruminate on what's not happening with Dave and what is with Sammy Hagar. Plus, a review of a recently uploaded Diamond Dave show at YouTube from 1994, featuring 8 songs from the "Your Filthy Little Mouth" album. Plus, a DLR mystery solved...?

Melissa Reiner is a classicaly-trained violinist with a huge and diverse array of credits, playing with a diverse range of pop and classical artists including Christine Aguilera, Mary J. Blige, Kelly Clarkson, Belle & Sebastian, The Jonas Brothers, Michael Buble, and, of course, David Lee Roth. Melissa has also performed at the GRAMMY Awards and on numerous TV and film scores. Her first solo album, "Great Love, Constant Thought," was released in 2012 and in 2015 was invited to deliver a talk, "How To Listen Like A Musician," at TEDx London Business School.  For more about Melissa, her credits and her music, visit www.melissareiner.com
