2021.04.21 Round Trip Wednesdays with Lizz Kalo - a podcast by Danno
from 2021-04-21T21:57
As broadcast April 21, 2021. We open with some thoughts on the George Floyd case and the many rivers to cross with the obvious need for police reform in The US & elsewhere. After that it's two hours of an exploration of Mexican music of as many types as we could fit into a couple of hours, and Lizz joins us on the flight to Mexico City. Great tunes from Rudy de Anda, Vicente Fernandez, Natalia Lafourcade and many more during the two hours, topped off with our return to Korea and an old school joint from Jung-hwa Lee & Shin Joong-hyun from 1970 along with a rendition of Arirang from So-hyang!
