As broadcast February 11, 2022 with plenty of Texas soul for your anywhere podcast sun, moon, and stars.  Tonight we start and finish part 1 with some Texas soul, both marking the date Leon Bridges won his very first Grammy but more importantly paying tribute to Bastards of Soul front man Chadwick Murray, who tragically passed late last year.  The band has a new album dropping in March which presumably was Murray's last bit of work in studio before passing, may he rest in power and live in music forever.  Lots of new funk and soul to get through in the first hour on our Sampled feature, with a new album out from Dr. Dre for the new GTA Online game, along with a stomper from Abi Farrell and a fantastic new EP out from our Kiwi brother Arjuna Oakes.  Dan Lloyd joins us for hour two on the eve of some big albums dropping in the rock world, most notably Eddie Vedder's new full-length "Earthling" and Frank Turner's "FTHC."
