As broadcast September 24, 2022.  Tonight we both paid tribute to our spiritual hero on The Drop and marked a momentous year in 2006, as Gilles Peterson both started his own record label in Brownswood Recordings and dropped an exquisite mix for Defected Records and their "In The House" DJ mix series.  We played the former in parts 1 through 3 of the show (at least CD 1, that is), and then highlighted some of the great talent on Brownwood Recordings nowadays with names like Kamaal Williams, Dayme Arocena, Kokoroko, and The Twilite Tone given time to stretch before the end of the show.
