Nutrition is not often the first topic that comes to mind when we think about dementia care as it can take a back seat to other concerns such as changes in memory, mood and independence. However, these cognitive changes can also make eating and drinking well more challenging which can put a vulnerable older person at risk of malnutrition. On this episode for Dementia Action Week (17th - 23rd May 2021) we chat to care manager Caroline Mitchell-Wemyss from Dementia Post Diagnostic Support at NHS Fife to discover how we can support those with dementia to eat well.
