In this episode, I spoke with Nicholas Georges, Senior Director of Scientific and International Affairs for the Household & Commercial Products Association (HCPA). We talked about some of the regulatory changes coming up in the USA, including on 1,4-dioxane limits as well limits on VOCs by the California Air Resource Board (CARB) and what it all means for the personal care industry. This episode was a little on the longer side, but if you’re interested in the topic of cosmetic regulations and the changes I’ve mentioned, this will be a good deep dive for you. Major take home of our conversation - a lot of people (who clearly don’t know what they’re talking about) like to say that the cosmetic industry in the USA is unregulated and regulations aren’t changing. By the end of this episode, if you weren’t already convinced, you’ll see that that’s absolutely incorrect.
