Happy Monday, Sisters!   I felt called to detour from our mantra this week to celebrate the life and man that this day honors, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.   Dr. King is probably the most famous for his "I Have a Dream" speech, but what I wanted to highlight even more are the values in which his leadership modeled for us.  He was a man who led with dignity, humility, justice, and compassion, a man who put his life on the line for what he believed in, and a man who truly walked his talk.   He called us to "walk in the light of creative altruism versus the darkness of destructive selfishness" and this quote calls me to reflect on how I'm practicing altruism in my own life and how I'm being of service.   Is it enough?  No.  It's not.  I want to be doing more and that's something I'm committed to this year - to get more involved at a local level, to start giving back in ways to others whom I can help, to start doing instead of simply talking about it.   I encourage you to read the whole piece written on TheKingCenter.Org's website today and let this man's vision and legacy inspire something within you.   In our political climate, Dr. King's words are as relevant as ever.  We've come a long way, but we still have work to do.  How can we work together to continue his legacy of inspiring others toward equality, tolerance, and love?   I'll see you in just a few days for a Transformational Thursday!  It's a good one <3
