Serial entrepreneur Christoph Bertsch founded Vejo in 2015 after going through a personal journey to improve his own health. In his search for nutritional truth and driven by his entrepreneurial curiosity, he discovered that often recommendations from governments, scientific papers, and even doctors had conflicting information about how to be healthy. Through the process of building Vejo, Christoph uncovered many facts about the food industry, ultimately realizing that Vejo would have to build its entire ecosystem in order to provide accessible, personalized, and convenient nutrition. Prior to Vejo, Bertsch has founded six successful companies in Germany primarily in the technology and fashion sectors.

“you need in your company two or three builders. And a builder for me is somebody you can throw on a topic and there is nothing established, there is no structure, the person starts and just starts to build it for you. And stay away from managers when you build a business. It’s like you start something and you have one or two builders around you and you hire somebody who wants to manage a process that is not in place and they fail with it. That’s horrible. Find people early-stage who’ve built business by themselves even if they failed.
