Kara Sewell anchors an Emmy-winning morning newscast and was recognized by the Texas Associated Press for her excellence in reporting. She’s field-anchored numerous history-making events including the 2016 Republican & Democratic National Conventions and interviewed everyone from presidents to JImmy Kimmel. Kara hosts a segment called UP With HER on Dallas WFAA that highlights women in leadership roles in the community doing incredible things. In 2017 she won Jenny Craig’s nationwide weight loss essay contest by sharing my journey of gaining and losing weight in front of the camera.
