Leadership brings with it a heavy load that often results in a lack of peace and security. As Faith Empowered Leaders we are called to experience a different kind of life. In the 23rd Psalm, we find wisdom for our journey as we realize that Christian leaders are first and foremost followers of the Great Shepherd. Because of this, we can walk "through the valley of the shadow of death" and "fear no evil." This picture of contentment alongside the image later in the Psalm of sitting down to a banquet with a gracious host calls us to live in faith.
