This episode features excerpts from a live panel discussion that Karthik hosted in June 2021, for an internal event at WPP, celebrating Pride month. The panelists include senior leaders as well as young employees of the organization and the discussion is largely about Pride at the workplace. Karthik speaks to the panelists (which includes members of the LGBTQ community) about the amendment of Section 377 in 2018 (which until then had criminalized homosexuality), their personal journeys of coming out, whether workplaces in India are safe spaces for members of the community and how conscious and subconscious biases work. They also talk about how organizations should hire to ensure diversity in the workforce and how 'hiring blind' might not work for everyone.
