What a week it's been. The world's attention has not been on golf and that's okay. We're here to try and bring you a little break from the chaos of the real world. First though we feel it's important to acknowledge some voices in the game that might go unheard. We encourage our listeners to check out works by black voices in golf including Damon Hack's piece for Golf Channel “Can I be both thankful and horrified? Can I?” and Maurice Allen's work in Golf Digest “Being Black in a White Sport”. We'd also be doing a disservice if we didn't give a shout out to Cheyenne Woods and her podcast "Birdies Not BS".
Also on the docket for day, we're breaking down yesterday's news that the Official World Golf Ranking will resume with the return of the PGA Tour, why does this make some European Tour players less than thrilled (7:14)? Speaking of Euros, European Tour CEO Keith Pelley says a "direction" for the 2020 Ryder Cup will be formalized by the end of the month. U.S. Captain Steve Stricker says a Ryder Cup without fans would be a "yawner", do we have any hope players tee it up in Wisconsin this year (18:50)? Finally we wrap by discussing modern day player comparison to golfers of ole. Is Dustin Johnson the modern equivalent of Greg Norman? Is Sungjae Im really the new Seve Ballesteros (28:50)?
