Sports stars appearing in the movie business is a crossover which has had decidedly mixed results. Think Ally McCoist in A Shot at Glory, Michael Jordan/LeBron James in the Space Jam duology, or Vinnie Jones in just about every hard man movie ever made.  But Italian Rafaelle Vallone was an exception, a guy who burnished his career as an international standard footballer with spells as a lawyer, a journalist and, ultimately, a Hollywood movie star.
