Tony Hand MBE is to lend a hand to Ice Hockey UK as their national development coach.

Hand was the first ice hockey player to be honoured by The Queen, the first British player to be drafted by an NHL team and in his 34 year playing career he notched more than 4,000 points.

In this exclusive interview, Hand explains to BBC Radio Manchester and The Forecast's Clare Freeman why he's looking forward to combining his duties with Manchester Phoenix with developing homegrown talent - both coaching and young players.
