Cisco has announced it will acquire Fluidmesh, a privately held company that specializes in wireless backhaul for industrial use cases. Cisco did not disclose the acquisition price.

VMware has announced version 3.0 of NSX-T, its SDN software platform. The latest version includes NSX Federation, which allows you to create separate NSX domains within a data center, or from a data center to the public cloud.
