Evan Taylor talks about Fostering Connections which is an organization whose mission is to serve abused and neglected childrens in Tulsa county and surrounding county. They do have a resource center near 51st in Harbour where families can shop for free once a month and get clothing items, back to school items and cribs. They also offer assistance like emergency placement where if someone gets a baby in the middle of the night they can provide diapers and formula and other stuff. There are a lot of ways where fostering can happen like you can go directly to the Department of Human Services, you can also go to private agencies and there is also kinship adoption. And as of now we still do have a tremendous shortage of foster parents in Oklahoma and Foster Connection can connect you through different ways to foster a child if you do want to have one.
