Sandra Worth founder of My Autism Connection, a certified autism specialist with 20yr experience in the healthcare industry as a radiographer shares to us what Autism Spectrum Disorder really is. She worked as a chair assistant in an orthodontic office in highschool and in another medical office, a woman medically inclined to help people. Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), is a complex developmental condition characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and nonverbal communication. She found out that her son has a special condition and somehow blamed herself for what she had done wrong but later on realized that there is still something she can do to help her son learn things that are lacking from him. That they can go into behavioral support if there are some behavioral challenges, support from a speech language pathologist if it is about language, and more to help in their development. She founded MAC to help people with ASD have a support community that could help and understand them to what they are struggling with and help them overcome all challenges.
