She was a Court Representative Advocate for CASES (Center for Alternative Sentencing) 1987 -1992. A strong proponent of rehabilitation for youths, she advocated for first time non-violent offenders to be placed into rehabilitative programs, passionately believing "Self Improvement is Improvement to Society on the Whole".
