3rd Sunday of Advent
Beloved of God, today we celebrate the Third Sunday of Advent.   Also known as Gaudete Sunday.  The word Gaudete means to rejoice.  You’ll notice this is the day the priest usually wears the rose colored vestment and the rose candle on the advent wreath is lighted.  We rejoice today at the nearness of God and the festival of the Incarnation.
