13th Sunday in Ordinary Time

SCRIPTURE
Mark 5: 21 - 43

In the Gospel today three individuals seek Jesus, as a last resort, to assist them in their need. The woman with a hemorrhage, a synagogue leader named Jairus and Jairus' daughter all are in desperate need of what Jesus can do for them.

Why is it that, like them, we often wait until we have exhausted every other avenue before we look to Jesus?
