Captain's Log is the tenth season of the Half Court Press Podcast. In this series Tao MacLeod talks to captains, leaders and senior players from a variety of sports about leadership techniques, communication skills and team development.

Pat Merton is originally from Portsmouth, but took up the sport of korfball, whilst studying in Cardiff. He now lives in Glasgow, having moved to the Scottish City in order to complete his teacher training, where he helped to set up the Strathclyde University Korfball Club. Now he holds down the player/coach role at Glasgow Korfball Club, where was was also formerly a captain of the first team. In this interview we talk about working towards shared targets and objectives, the role of the captain and the relationship between the team leadership and the coach.
