Across all of the episodes Tao MacLeod talks to a variety of keepers, who tell us about their careers, experiences and thoughts on this unique position. Steph Tirrell is a sports teacher, who’s living and working in England. She is also one of the goalkeepers for Buckingham Hockey Club. Steph was the main goalie for the indoor squad that won the team’s first ever national championship at the England Super 6’s Finals in 2020. In this interview we talk about the benefits of playing indoor hockey, styles of play, if keepers need to be tall in order to be talented and the importance of having a multi sports background.
