On this episode of Across the Pond Reviews, hosted by Sarah Mason (The Harold & Maudecast), Poldark, Season 2, Episode 1! He's back, and he's still hot and yes, shirtless in this episode. Ross Poldark (Aidan Turner) and wife Demelza (Eleanor Tomlinson) barely have time to mourn over the loss of their infant daughter when now they are faced with the potential incarceration of Ross.  George Warleggan (Jack Farthing) is back and up to his old evil ways serving as puppet master to Ross' fate. All the familiar faces are back including Ross' former love Elizabeth (Heida Reed) now married to his cousin Francis (Kyle Soller) setting the stage for what's sure to be an epic love triangle. Dr. Dwight Enys (Luke Norris) is standing by his man Ross at the trial though slightly sidetracked by the new beauty in town, Caroline Penvenen (Gabriella Wilde) who is a silly flirt. Also new this season Ray Penevenen, Caroline's uncle played by veteran British actor John Nettles (Midsomer Murders).

Much transpires in this two hour premiere episode, setting the stage for a tumultuous season. Fasten your seat belts folks! And listen to my recap.
