Enjoy this great interview with The Hive's Artist in Residence and Iconographer, Kristen Wheeler, as she discusses her process of creating the icon of Saint Gobnait, the Patron Saint of Beekeepers and Ironworkers.

"Gobnait was called to Ballyvourney to build a convent, a place of refuge and healing where she and other women cared for the sick and suffering of the village, saving many from the oncoming plague. With natural remedies made of honey and herbs, and a considerable dose of commitment to helping those in need, Gobnait surrounded herself in apiaries, gardens, trees, wildlife, and supportive people to furnish her ministry."
