On episode 16 of The Holy Joes Podcast, Author, Poet and all-round nice guy Jim Deeds joins us to talk faith and life, creativity and gives us 5 Ignatian principles for life.

Jim shares the importance of family, friendship and faith growing up during the 'Troubles' in West Belfast in the 70's & 80's and how is faith reignited when he started a family. He shares some of his creativeness over the years and the sparks from the Holy Spirit that led him to writing reflections, prayers and poetry. One of the highlights of this time was his relationship with Fr Brendan McManus SJ which has led to some great collaborations and writing.

Jim present 5 really useful principles that they utilize in their writing and ministry which have an Ignatian spirituality running through them, this podcast is worth a listen just for them. He ends the episode with a fresh reflective poem entitled 'Three Breathes' which is a challenging and engaging piece of work.
