The Myth of Continents - a podcast by Aethiophililla
from 2020-08-09T05:37:18
I interviewed two geographers at Stanford, Martin Lewis and Kären Wigen, about their 1997 book The Myth of Continents: A Critique of Metageography (University of California Press).
We talked about other books as well, including but not limited to Orientalism by Edward Said, Black Athena by Martin Bernal, The Clash of Civilizations and the Remaking of World Order by Samuel Huntington, and the "sequel" to The Myth of Continents that'll be called Seduced by the Map.
Interview episodes like this one should be patron-only, but I'm keeping them free for now. Keep an eye on the podcast Twitter -- more (free!) interviews and other changes coming soon!
