These wonderful bronze back fish are sought out all over the US and Canada, Smallmouth are found in the rivers and streams as well as the lakes and reservoirs, preferring clean clear water, rocky or sandy bottoms and cooler water temperatures. If you seek a real fighter that loves breaking the surface of the water, runs hard, can be fished for with live bait and soft or hard lures, then smallmouths bass may just be the fish for you.
