Every day, we get messages and emails in from Irish people, living abroad and listening all over the world, who still want a slice of home through the radio.
If you are one of those people, or indeed you have family or friends abroad, who are missing home and missing the opportunity to pop home for a visit at the moment, this might be of interest!
You can ‘run home’ and raise a bit of money for charity at the same time!

Aisling Demaison, who is originally from Ballina but living in France took part in a virtual race recently and thought to herself that the only place she’d like to run to is HOME.
She, like many others, couldn’t get home for Christmas and it’s been a year and a half since she’s seen her parents and family. She really misses them so, she decided to do something that would lift the spirits of the expat community and do something good for homelessness in Ireland. And so RunningHome.ie was born!
The registration launches on February 1st, they are calling all Irish people living abroad to run home – virtually that is and on March 17th, they’ll all start running together.
If you are abroad and want to ‘run home’, you can calculate how far away you are and how you want to do it and can keep track of the distance that you’ve run each day etc.
You can do it as part of a team if you’d like to break the distance down amongst a few people too!
To sign up or find out more, go to RunningHome.ie now for all the details.
All funds raised go to Focus Ireland and The McVerry Trust.
