The Super Bowl matchup is set, and we couldn't have asked for much more (aside from the Hawks representing the NFC obviously). Arguably the greatest quarterback of all time leading a new team to a chance at a Lombardi Trophy in their own stadium vs. an up-and-coming quarterback who is trying to win back-to-back championships. There was a lot to take away from yesterday's games. For one, it's more clear than ever that it's just difficult to get here. Aaron Rodgers had one of the best seasons of his career, and just couldn't get it done yesterday. The Bills were dominant all season, until yesterday. This isn't the NBA, or baseball. New teams make runs every year. It's remarkable that Mahomes has done it twice in a row, and even more remarkable that Brady has gotten there yet again, this time with a whole different team. Additionally, aggression was rewarded. There are times to play conservatively, but yesterday Kansas City and Tampa took chances, and it paid off. Pius Suter's hat trick, and a major trade are featured in our daily Power Play. Brian Schmetzer is back to coach another season with the Sounders. It would have been shocking had he actually not been back.
