This week on the IFC Individuation Podcast Dr. Lahab Al-Samarrai interviews Ann B. Blake, Ph.D., a licensed counseling psychologist since 1987, provides Jungian-oriented individual psychotherapy and clinical supervision in her private practice in West Seattle. During the past 30 years, Dr. Blake taught in undergraduate and graduate programs at several local universities, most recently Antioch University Seattle (AUS). In June, 2016, Dr. Blake formally retired from seventeen years as a core faculty member at AUS; in August, 2019, Dr. Blake’s AUS colleagues elected her to Professor Emerita. Dr. Blake continues to advise AUS master’s students’ special projects as well as supervise Psy.D. students’ clinical work at the Antioch Psychology and Community Clinic. Dr. Blake is a charter member of the Seattle-based Jungian Psychotherapists Association and is a long-term member of the C. G. Jung Society, Seattle. Her current educational presentations address the process of metabolizing personal and collective trauma in contemporary cultural turmoil. In service to her community, Dr. Blake is active in a faith community; she serves as a board of directors’ member for Books and Bricks Global and for the Philemon Foundation. Participating in the arts, Dr. Blake writes poetry and is a member of the Shrinkrapt Theater Company.
