Jose Junior is an elite level athlete and long time student of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He hails from Araruama, Rio De Janeiro, Brazil and was one of the first few Brazilians brought over to the United Arab Emirates to kick start an incredible program under Palms Sports that is now the largest BJJ program in the world for schools, army, and residents.

During this time, Jose honed his Jiu Jitsu and competed to become the highest ranked Black Belt and winning the UAEJJF World Pro at the Black Belt Heavy weight division. Today, he is the Martial Arts Director at Arena Academy in Saudi Arabia and continues to lead his students to great discipline and success in Jiu Jitsu.

We talk a lot about his competitive career, his journey into jiu jitsu and to the Middle East. Jose also shares invaluable advice to people who always wonder if they will ever be ready for Black Belt.
