CHRISTMAS PROMISES DAY SEVEN

When Pharaoh drew near, the people of Israel lifted up their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians were marching after them, and they feared greatly. And the people of Israel cried out to the Lord. And Moses said to the people, “Fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will work for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall never see again. The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.
Exodus 14:10, 13-14

In the midst of rescue and escape, in the midst of God executing a promise to His people, they looked away from God and saw their impending circumstances. And they were so afraid. The Israelites were not unlike you and me, the moment our eyes drift from God and His promises, fear grips our heart. Despair sets in. Utter hopelessness.

Listen in to hear the promise of hope offered in this passage from Exodus.

During this daily Christmas series I will share a promise that God has given us, a promise we can trust. My prayer is that those promises would bring our hearts great joy, causing our hearts to trust our Father, our Savior and our King, through what may be a very difficult Christmas season.
