Dr. Veronica Hardy, LCSW: Dr. Veronica Hardy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, published writer, and Full Professor at The University of North Carolina at Pembroke.


Throughout her career, Dr. Hardy has provided services in settings including residential treatment facilities, in her private counseling practice, and served as a faculty member in various social work and counseling programs.


Dr. Hardy has focused her attention on social justice and community issues including human sex trafficking of children and adolescents. She also focuses on racial equity in K through 12 school settings. She also heavily emphasizes the integration of spirituality and mental health in her therapy and counseling.


In her widely read book,  “A Letter to My Sisters: Reflecting on God’s Promises”, Dr. Veronica L. Hardy uses a workbook style to guide readers through brief narratives, biblical insights, and reflective questions – encouraging them to contemplate on their experiences from a spiritual perspective.


Dr. Hardy has been honored with the Civic Excellence Award by the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. – Sigma Iota Omega Chapter.
