Today’s guest is, Ms. C’Ardiss “CC” Gardner Gleser, who holds the inaugural position of Director of Programs & Strategic Initiatives at the Satterberg Foundation (https://satterberg.org) located in Seattle, Washington, a family foundation focused on promoting a just society and a sustainable environment. In this role, CC dedicates her time working with nonprofits focused on equity and changing educational outcomes for underserved children. Separately, CC is Creator & Founder of the Seattle Equity Summit.


Join us to hear CC speak openly and honestly on the topic of equity in philanthropy, her role as the first person of color to join the Satterberg Foundation team, why qualifiable data is vital to equity work and the intricacies of the Seattle Equity Summit (www.seattleequitysummit.org) she created and launched in 2019.


CC is a graduate of Yale University earning a bachelor’s degree in African American Studies and an M.Ed., Education Administration from Seattle University.


CC’s time and talent reaches far beyond her work at the Satterberg Foundation. CC serves as Chair of the Board of Directors of the Andrus Family Fund, she has been a ‘Connecting Leaders Fellow’ with the Association of Black Foundation Executives since 2017, is Vice Chair of Programs for the Philanthropy Northwest Board of Directors and is the Chair of the Board of Trustees at the Charlotte Y Martin Foundation.


CC graciously volunteers her time and talent to several organizations including (but not limited to): The Bush School in Seattle where she serves as Trustee, Social Venture Partners Seattle, The Yale Black Alumni Association, and Treehouse – a nonprofit addressing the education and enrichment needs of youth experiencing foster care.
