Today’s guest is, Coach Carmen Duncan, MSW - Founder & CEO of “Mission Accomplished Transition Services” (https://matransitionservices.org/)   A non-profit organization she established in 2012 with the purpose of helping students at the high school, trade school and, college level, and students on a path to entrepreneurship, remove obstacles that prevent them from pursuing their dreams and entering the careers they are most passionate about.


Coach Carmen has been successful in raising over one million dollars for her organization and now has 8 employees to help carry out the organization’s mission. She is a social entrepreneur and philanthropist who has received several awards honoring her leadership. Coach Carmen has also served as the keynote speaker at several events including, The 2016 Women’s Fund of the Capital Region Trailblazers awards in upstate NY, The 2015 Black Women’s Association of Albany’s  - Women of Distinction awards,  the Women’s Employment Resource Center’s annual awards event, and in February of this year Coach Carmen was one of several Social Workers featured in the NASW-NYS Chapter’s “This is Social Work” Video Project highlighting all the various roles Social Workers serve in.
